A Season of Firsts Continues

I realize that I have been quiet recently on the blog front but there is a lot going on behind the scenes at myfactor! Last quarter marked a series of firsts for me. I ran a weekend leadership development workshop for a cool group of second year Darden MBA students. It was a lot of fun but don’t take my word for it, you can read some of their comments at: What My Clients Say.

If you are on my mailing list you should have received the first edition of Optimize yourFactor newsletter. Thank you all for your kind and encouraging words.  If you missed it or are not on my mailing list you can read it here. If you like what you read, you can subscribe via the sign up box at the top right hand corner. Issue No. 2 will be published next week!

The season of firsts continues this quarter. I am excited to be participating in FastTrac NYC Spring Business Expo on Saturday, May 1st, from 1 – 5 pm. If you are in the New York area, drop by to say hi. I would love to meet you. There will be about 30 other small NYC based businesses and you will have the opportunity to meet and network with other small business owners while learning about our services in person. I will also be running a quick 20 minute seminar. I have not finalized the topic or time yet, right now I am thinking about something along the lines of, “How to Prepare for Your Next Step – Practical Tips and Lessons Learned“. If you have any other ideas, I would love to here them, via the comments section below or feel free to email me directly. Attendance is free and you can RSVP for the Expo here, by entering Event ID: 2540. I will confirm the details for the seminar as soon as I have the information.

I love working with individual clients, since I started myfactor, I have worked with over 80 clients on an individual basis who are either in the process of reinventing their careers or transitioning to another path or role. I am thrilled to announce another first, i-Reinvent-Me Coaching Lab: Your Space to Create a Career & Life You Enjoy, a cost effective 9-week virtual group and 1:1 career reinvention coaching program. It will officially start on May 18th and finish on July, 13th 2010. We all love to talk about possibilities, in the coaching lab you will work really hard to make these possibilities happen, so while it may be daunting, you will have the support of seven other like-minded people who are committed to reinventing themselves, working together, sharing ideas and lessons learned; to make bolder moves. You can learn more here. I also plan to host a Q&A call during the first week in May, I will confirm call in details shortly.

Things will be a little quiet on the blog front for the rest of the month, but I will return to a regular schedule starting in May, aiming to post at least twice a week. In the meanwhile, if you are on twitter you can follow my tweets. Have a lovely weekend!
